Miriam Charlotte Webber is a seventeen year old American teen. She was born and raised in San Diego, California; United States of America. She is an only child with both her mother and father gone in Europe fighting the Nazis. Miriam's mother is a nurse while her father a major in the United States Army. After a letter sent to her Uncle John- her father's brother who she is very close to, and a quick, but very devastating visit from the Army to Miriam's home: she has no choice but to see her father's wishes and move to Nazi Germany in Berlin- the beating heart of the Nazi regime on the outskirts of the city with her Uncle John and Aunt Elsa along with her cousins: Nico, Liesel, Greta, and Bruno. Who she is quiet close to. Miriam's world comes crashing down. With all her guy friends and ex-boyfriend who she is still madly in love with all overseas spread out in Europe fighting the war. Her Summer before senior year is nothing she expected it to be. All her girl friends and neighbors are the only ones she has, and now she has to leave them.
