Three friends thought they could handle anything together, what happens when their bond get the ultimate test.
We walk down what remains of the train track, we make it about half way down the track when we stop and see two off looking men slouched over. Matt puts his arms in front of us to keep us behind him. "They don't look too good."
Matt look at us, "Maybe we should leave."
Alicia scuffs "Yes, that's a great idea."
We start to make our way back to the station, but once we began to leave the two men started to run towards us. All three of us bolted towards the car, I felt like I couldn't breathe...like everything was in slow motion. I looked back and see the men catching up to us, we final make it to my car. I quickly unlock my car and get in, I lock the door and jitter the keys in the lock. One of the men bang on the window, I scream and looked at the man. He was grayish blue and had scabs all over his face and hands. "LUNA DRIVE!"

This is a second view point from my original story - A Different Virus - Heartfire. I highly advise reading the original book first. Intro: Laura was a happy child without a care in the world. She loved her parents and life was perfect. Nothing seemed like it could go wrong. People started talking about a bad flu that was spreading and sending some into a coma. Her parents grew worried and stocked the house in case of a pandemic. Months later another virus appeared. Her family was shocked when the news people started reporting that zombies were actually real and not just part of a horror movie. They were appearing in every country. Her parents reassured her that none of the zombie sightings had been anywhere close to them. Her life is turned upside down when her father ends up in hospital with the bad flu and mother exiles her upstairs for her safety. She was never allowed downstairs again. Weeks pass and the streets become deserted with the exception of the red eyed zombies that wandered around. One night she notices a swiftly moving figure with glowing blue eyes in the street below. Should she call out or remain silent? Is this fleeting shadow something that can help her or could this mysterious figure be even more dangerous than the zombies themselves? ---------------------- Ranked #1 Apr 10, 2018 (A huge thank you to all who read and voted!) This story is copyright and built from my own imagination. This book was a special request from someone who helped me a lot. This viewpoint has less action than the original. "How do you feel now, Morgan?" She says, more pointing something out than asking a question. She grabs hold of my wrists and tightens them. If I could see properly I could swear I see them turn purple. "I could beat you to the bone, right here, right now, till you die from your injuries. But, I won't. You will die. Maybe not today, maybe not in a month, but you will." Well, obviously I'm going to die. Humans don't live forever. "Wonder why?" "No, and I really don't care." She answers anyway. "Because we have the power, the people, and the weapons to do it. Face it, you're defenseless against us." I feel some blood flooding my mouth, so I, being a perfectly nice person, spit it in her face. That doesn't faze her at all. "I have the strength and intelligence, something you clearly don't have. Whatever y'all do to me, it won't break me. I will put up a hell of a fight before losing. I will fight, and I will win." I turn over and look at her fellow companions. "Even if I die doing it." "Is that a risk you're willing to take?" ____________________________________ 17 year old Morgan Peters is an average girl living life. "Natalie, I really need to go now. We're going to be late." "But I don't want you to leave at all. Can't you stay here with me?" I begged him. My best friend, Matt Sanders, was leaving me, possibly forever. I had spent the past week trying to persuade him to stay here in Huntington Beach, California but in my heart I knew that there was no stopping him. Matt had always done what he wanted and what he wanted now was to go on tour and become a famous rock star. "Why don't you come with me then? I'd love it if you did." This was his way of asking me to stay with him. I shook my head. "You know that it's not that simple Matt. My Dad isn't going to last very long if I leave. I'm practically the only one who can look after him. If it wasn't for that then I would run and pack a suitcase now but I can't." "Oh Natalie, I'm going to miss you so much. I promise I'll come back as soon as I can." I felt the tears well up as I realised that he was really finally leaving me. "Haven't I taught you anything about making promises that you can't keep." "Matt! Get your ass in here! We really need to go!" We both turned to look at the van that was to be their touring vehicle for the next three months. Matt's friend Brian, the one that yelled at us, was sat in the driver's seat. his other friend Zacky was in the passenger seat. The others were in the back. Matt turned to look at me once more and then pulled me into a hug that I will never forget. "God Natalie, I guess that this is goodbye." "I hate that word." "I know, I'm sorry." "It's fine. I'll be fine." Brian honked. "Matt you need to go." "Okay." He kissed the top of my head once more before turning around and jumping into the van's open door, shutting it behind him quickly.

"Hey, who are you?" I could tell he wasn't trying to scare him off while still trying to establish the fact that we could hurt him if we wanted to. "I was gonna ask you the same question," he replied. "But since to beat me to it, I'm Eli. I'm just a seventeen-year-old kid out here alone. Y'all seem to be in the same situation." His southern accent was thick but definitely not South Carolinian. It sounded more like he was from Alabama or Mississippi. "True. For how long?" "Four weeks. I ran away because of...circumstances," he said, trailing off on the last word. "Prove to us you're not dangerous," Marcus threatened. "Prove to me you're not dangerous," Eli countered. "I don't even know your names." "Fine. I'm Marcus, that's Peyton, Luke, and Aaliyah," he answered, gesturing toward each of us as he spoke. I could tell he didn't trust the guy, but he seemed good enough. He hadn't said anything to make us distrust him, but he also hadn't said anything to make us trust him. "Look, dude, I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm looking for something a friend told me about a few weeks ago. She said there was a whole network of teens out here, but there's a camp somewhere in Florida that gives them a place to stay. Secret, of course, and run by teens, but anyway, it seems safer than being out here and living off the land." "Wait, you mean there are more of us?" I asked. ☁ Three teenagers find themselves rejected by their families after they're all unexpectedly outed on the same night. With the help of their friend, they head to the streets in search of freedom and acceptance. Along the way they meet another boy, and there's more to him then they could have ever guessed. Follow each of them as they discover who they are, who they love, and more of their country's secrets than they could ever dream of in a thrilling trilogy told from all five points of view.

My eyes were literally glowing, there was no mistaking it. It was not a reflection of light, or any of the other excuses I had used or others had assumed. They were glowing a light sapphire blue color. It was not a bright glow, but it was definitely a glow. Glowing eyes were not normal. Okay, at this point I had to admit it, I was no longer normal.
