Lance, Pidge and Hunk are having a peaceful and warm summer. They have their own little hidden cave at the end of a beach as a little hideout, and spend most of the summer there. When a storm rolls in, it floods the cave and a little pool in the back corner that leads into the ocean, taking stuff out and bringing things in. When the storm passes, Lance goes to check out the damage inside their hideout, and finds something that makes him question if this is a dream.

Guillotine - a Klance fanfic
Lance has nightmares about his family back on earth, and whenever he needs to calm down from one he'll go to the control room and just sit. He'll stare at the stars and try to handle things all on his own. But one night, when a nightmare that topped all nightmares crashed into Lance's head, he wasn't able to calm himself. Keith had seen his teammate upset that night and decided to take mater into his own hands. They were always off doing their own things and never did things together unless it was for a mission. On such a mission the team got split up. Hunk and Pidge went to a different planet to help people, and so did Coran and Allura. Shiro, Keith and Lance go on another mission to a planet where no one lives. They need to find a special living plant on the planet to make the Cryogenic Pods work properly again. Shiro choose the two boys because they always fought, but he hopes they won't now.
