After living a tedious and monotonous life growing up all she wanted was fun. Fun like getting drunk several nights a week and coming home so hung over she couldn't see her own feet. Fun like enjoying a night out with her 3 other best friends who have joined her all along. Is that really fun? Young Sydney Martin was forced to endure the life of a stereotype. Living the same routine everyday. Her boyfriend, or now ex boyfriend put her in an empty whole of nothingness. But Sydney was in love. Falling so hard she saw nothing else but him. Everything in her life was the blur of a common place.They would under go everything with each other. From eating breakfast together in the morning, to playing in the sheets at night. Her life was perfect. Everyday was a new day for Sydney. Of course when your 20 years old & withstanding a job at an aquarium what other option do you have? Evan made it exciting for her. They would go to amusement parks, travel the world together for years on end. But nothing lasts forever. One day, it all stopped and he was gone. It was just another Cinderella story. Break ups do that to you, they rip apart everything you once had in your heart. That's what a heart break is all about. All that Sydney had left was her 3 best friends, Abbie, Kalie, & Amanda. Of course she had her parents in a distant way but what 20 year old wants to sulk with their 50 year old guardians? Sydney was convinced love doesn't exist. So she forced her life to become a fast pace movie franchise. Getting drunk at bar's every night and living her life to the most in order to leave the life that only existed in the past. But when her best friend Abbey introduces yet another celebrity friend to her group she doesn't stand a chance. With one wink of an eye & a new future ahead of her everything could be thrown away. Maybe she could even love again. But life always has obstacles. Does love truly exsist?

CRINGE WARNING! First book I ever wrote on here!! -- "Sometimes the person who you are willing to take a bullet for is the person behind the gun." I stood peering over the cold lifeless body that lay before my eyes. I had always thought of death the enemy, but right now, I blessed it upon the person who is now at peace. Sometimes you don't need to be the smartest, or the fastest, but you do need to be wisest. They say the blood runs deeper than water, and I believe it, because even though the people that we love can turn on us and begin to hate us, they are only human, meaning that soon they will begin to see how short life really is and how it is not to be wasted. People who seem perfect and they look like they have no floors'; they are the people who are suffering, like I was. But I found my savior in the most uncommon place. He was able to look through my mask, he saw the cracks, and tried to fix the broken girl that hid away deep inside the girl who only wanted to be seen as 'fine'. I slowly began to find comfort and safety in him, and I did the same to him. We were two broken people becoming whole. Someone once said when you pass, if you can count your true friends on one hand you are beyond lucky, and I even though I did not like the person that lay before me, I know that he once had true friends, including me. I'm a 17 year old girl who has suffered more than any other, beginning to believe that 'Hope' was just another word the people throw around. Until I fell in love with a badboy. My life was supposed to be normal. You're born, raised by good parents, go to school, make friends, graduate, get a job. You create fun memories, find the love of your life, get married, start a family, grow old, and eventually, you breathe your last. That's what life was supposed to be like for me. But instead, my life turned out to be the opposite of normal. And so it was for Chiara, Blake, Jake, Rowan, Nova, and Dijon. To tell our story, we need to go all the way back to the beginning. Before we were even born. It all started 30 years ago. April 5, 2003. a class got into an accident and when the survivors woke up, they realized something was wrong. they got powers , they got taken by scientist who started calling them the hollows. It took almost a month before they were rescued by Mr. Knight, they got taken to a secret place where they could live peacefully. that's a lie, one of the students wanted revenge and not stay hidden, so the group seperated. Every year another person got powers, and so, the search continued. But there was always one question on mr. Knight mind: Why 12 children the first time, and only one per year after that? And one thing was for sure: whenever someone gained powers, they had to give something up in return. It was never a choice. It was just the way it was. So, now that I've explained a bit about how this all started, let's fast forward to the present. It's now 2033. Mr. Knight has found 19 children, and Mr. Douglas, the leader of the other group, has found 10. That means... the 30th child is out there somewhere. Who will it be? And one more thing before I go-welcome to the world of Dark Light.

He has only one friend- and that's his older sister, who is now off to college, leaving Sam to spend his days at home with his mom and his painting. Until one day, his mother decides to transfer him to an all-boy boarding school, thinking that will force her son to socialize. But Sam didn't tell her that at his old school, he was being bullied. The broken arm she thought had occurred from falling was actually caused by bullies. Now in his new school, Sam learns that everyone has a club they belong to. Sam knows that no one will want to befriend the shy, introvert boy who spends his days drawing. But you can't stay alone in this school, which Sam comes to realise when the school's bullies pick him as their new target, and that makes Sam think that this is how he'll spend the rest of his two years in school. Until suddenly, the most secluded club decides to defend Sam and take him under their wings. No one is as surprised as Sam that the group of four scary boys wants to include the quiet boy in their club. But the most shocking thing is that the cold, feared boy named Ren starts showing Sam his soft and kind side no one ever got to see.
