Viralynn Maeven Elry, daughter of the Lord and Lady of Istaar, toys with every person that crosses her path. Wearing masks of false expression to sheild what she truly feels - the hatred and burning abhorrence of those who speak ill of what she is, despite doing so unkowingly - Vira pretends to be a common young lady, bred for proper nonsenses.

It impossible, really, to try and play games when she is a magic-holder, unknown to those around her, and faces a certain death if discovered. When the Crown refuses all petitions to the law of no magic, a rebel group surfaces, planning to use all the tricks they can come up with to ensure the High King's death.
