This is just a short story I wrote in class.
Basically the premise of the story is about the character's, or basically the reader's, first thought in 2 scenarios. One really bad and sad scenario. The other a better but still kind of sad scenario.
The reason I wrote this was:
1. I was bored out of my mind in class
2. I asked my friend to give me a prompt and what she gave me was: "Write a stort about what you would do if your friend was angry at you and suicidal" and I went on that.
I nearly cried writing this so...yeah

The Girl Who Jumped
I stood on the edge of the rooftop. My eyes closed and my mind free. I'm ready. Now is the time. I could feel my breath quickening, Breathe in, Breathe out. I slowly start to gain composure of my thoughts. I can hear the people on the ground. I can see them entering the building in their perfect dresses with their perfect hair. I look down at my Royal Blue gown and smile. It's time. I slowly exhale and let myself fall. I'm free. Well, that's what I thought when I jumped, but the world hates me. So now. I'm alive and kicking, quite literally kicking in fact. Paisley George is a screw up, her "True Love" even knew it. So she jumped, but her.... attempted suicide was a failure, now she is stuck living with her grandma. event after event, Paisley ends up becoming friends with the towns bad boys and maybe she might just fall in love with one. "Had several boyfriends, invited them to our home." His eyes cut to me, and a look darker than I've ever seen clouded his features I gestured to our grandiose home bought by his dizzying wealth. "And parade them right in front--" Before I knew it, I was face down and nearly suffocated by the soft material of our couch, I barely noticed my skirt pushed upwards and panties shoved aside. "You're my goddamn wife, Astoria. I will not tolerate your defiance." The sound of his belt loosening, zipper lowering, he entered me violently taking my breath with him. "Yet everyone thinks I'm still your charity case because you won't claim me." "You want to be claimed? Fine. But I am warning you, this lifestyle you're so accustomed to will be gone. I will be dirt poor and your family will be fired." "Then divorce and set me free. I am done being your dirty secret." This short story is based around the loss of a friend, and coping with that loss with therapy. ~~~ I placed the letter back down onto the small coffee table, wiping away the tears that rested in the corner of my eyes. "How do you feel, Samuel?" the doctor asked, hovering her pen over a piece of paper. "I feel the same way I did the last time you made me read that letter" I responded back, a slight bitterness in my voice. "And how did you feel?" "Lost. Lonely. Hurt. Betrayed." I listed, watching as she wrote it all down, listening as the pen scratched against the paper roughly. "Anything else?" She pressed on, staring down on me like an ant. "I lost my best friend. How do you think I fucking feel?" The tone of my voice made her flinch slightly, but she quickly regained her professionalism. "Samuel, I need you to calm down. Shouting at me isn't going to do you any good". She pushed her glasses further up her face as she scribbled more onto the page. "Shouting?" I sit down on my bike looking around the school parking lot. Listening to music, I stand up begin to walk through the student-less parking lot. Honestly, it's not like I meant to be late. My music cut out causing me to hear a whistle. I stop in my tracks and pull my headphones down to my neck. Turning around, I seen a group of men with one guy who just smirked at me. "You new here beautiful?" one of the guys asked. "What do you think Einstein?" cocking my brow. "Ohh. Challenging? I like." he says walking towards me, about two inches away. "Really?" biting my lip, as he continued walking towards me. He reaches out and grabs my hip, "Mmhmm," smiling down at me. Swiftly, I grab his hand, turn him around, kick him right above the back of his knee, and pushes down so he's on his knees in front of me in a position of which I could brake his arm, "What a shame, 'cause personally, I don't like fuck boys with various STD'S." I look at all the men in the group who had their jaws dropped, all except for one, "Touch me one more time, and I'll brake your arm in two." I stand and kick his back so he falls on the concert. "Anyone else?" they stare at me blankly. "Didn't think so." When fuck boy tries to get up, I take my foot and slam him back down. Looking back at the boys, I say, "Later boys."
