It was a rainy afternoon. Alison Walker was sitting outside on her sheltered porch, smiling like an idiot at the downpour in her little section of the forest. She wrapped her blanket tighter around herself and blew on her tea, watching it let off puffs of steam. She leaned back in her rocking chair and closed her eyes. There was a roaring sound in the distance. She opened her eyes and looked up to find the shiny, black Impala pulling up in her muddy driveway. She touched the gun tucked away in the folds of her blanket. The door of the car opened and the driver stepped out into the rain. Her eyebrows furrowed as she called out to the man standing there staring at her; a man she had not seen for three years. "Dean? What are you doing here?"
