"There are things much darker than the night. Creatures that will make you want to peal your own skin.... and drink the deadliest poisons. You have no idea what you are in for with this god, child. And for that, you have my deepest condolences." . . . When Selene is robbed at gun point on her way home, she met her undetermined fate. That night, a single bullet was emptied into her stomach. She died in that alley alone, and in pain. And as she closed her eyes, she never expected to ever open them again. . . . "Aren't you supposed to be, like... " He raised a perfect eyebrow at me. You can predict the sick things they will do to you. But when the monster looks human, you're blindsided. One minute you're in love with a guy and the next he's slitting your throat. Trust me, I speak from experience. Gruesome things that use to make me sick now makes my stomach flutter in joy. I traded charming grins and blue eyes for carved smilies and orbs of onyx. I traded sunlight for the glow of the moon. I gave up living amongst humans for creatures of the night. And I wouldn't go back for anything in the world. I am finally home. I've spent so much time running from monsters that it's my turn to do the chasing. Sweet Dreams...
