We sat in a short moment of silence, despite Leafpool's shocked, ragged breaths when she almost fell off the cliff. I couldn't take it anymore. I wanted to tell her. I took in a deep breath, and looked her determinedly in her eyes. She looked as determined as I was, and I swallowed the lump in my throat. "You walk in my dreams, Leafpool," I muttered softly. My eyes were sincere, true of my word. "I-I shocked myself for loving another cat so soon after Feathertail's death, but I love you, Leafpool."
Crowfeather's love for Feathertail was strong. He loved her deeply, until a terrible tragedy happened, leaving Crowfeather heartbroken and traumatised as he thought it was his fault. That was, until he met a calm, understanding medicine cat called Leafpool-who fixed his broken heart. ♡

Every disaster that threatens a Clan means StarClan will come and save you. You'll receive a prophecy that will save everything you love. The peril is vanquished in a battle, and there is no need for sleeping with one eye open anymore. StarClan will forever watch over you from your nest and keep you safe. That is what has been passed down from generations. Not every tale has to end like that: StarClan saving everyone with the chosen cat, everyone loving the hero or heroine - but it always does. So facing a challenge such as missing cats shouldn't be a challenging task. Moons pass on, cats keep disappearing faster and faster; nobody is doing anything to prevent the case. Everyone is relying on StarClan to send the prophecy to their medicine cat, just hoping that one day, the fiasco will end. Yet that's not the way fear works its way into hearts. Warriors, once brave and strong, now cowering behind one another. Apprentices with their eagerness to learn, now afraid of the outside world and going missing. Queens, always caring for their kits, now fearful of losing them to the mystery. Elders, who are as wise as the deepest river, now unable to provide an answers. With leaf-bare creeping up, the Clans are preparing for the harsh weather. Preparing for another season should be like gathering moss for the elders, but not this time. This time, the Clans are struggling just to assemble a hunting patrol and maintain borders. Forcing time out of daily tasks is asking the impossible. Leaf-bare is going to take the remaining lives of the cats that are lucky enough to even make it through leaf-fall. A transfer from my original posting on AO3. A "haters to lovers" rewriting of Crowfeather X Leafpool with a happier ending. Do you like reading Warrior cats? Did you love Crowfeather's story and him as a character? Did you grow fond of him only for his entire story and character arc to be destroyed and all of his lovable qualities being dumbed down to him being a shitty and cold hearted dad? Yeah. Me too. So, out of spite, I'm rewriting the story of Crowfeather into this new furry retelling. Where his qualities are NOT FORGOTTEN, he doesn't have a sad LOVE STORY, and the racism of his clan leader is CALLED OUT. There are several changes made to the story. They are not on the land shown in the stories, I made a Pinterest board to help visualize the new land. You are born into clans, but you can come and go from clans freely, you're not eternally bound to one and then kill each other over this fake sense of loyalty. (BECAUSE IT FILLS ME WITH RAGE). Basically a furry cottagecore romance with some angst on the side for spice, a cute developing romance between two cats of very different personalities.Complete
