Angels of War: Part I - Hunters

God left. It was sudden and unexpected. And left Heaven in a total mess. Not knowing what to do, Angels started fighting between each other and it didn't take much time for a Great War in Heaven to break out. Those were the dark days. Many were killed, many deserted. But those, who avoided conflict were doomed to be hunted down by their own kind. At first at least. Soon after that, Angels created a race of monsters. Nephilim - half angels, half humans. Perfect meat bags to be put on the front line. The first wave of the Hunt ended successfully. Then Commanders saw how big a threat are Nephilim to them and started the Second Wave.

Adriel is one of the Commanders. At least he was when he was last seen in Heaven. Because Adriel, after hunting down many of his brothers and sisters, was finally fed up with great ideas and purposes and all the blood that was spilt in their names. So he deserted. He started a life on his own. A gang member, an illegal race participant, an addict. Drinking to forget and trying to kill himself, even thou being aware of his own immortality, little does he know what future holds for him. And why it chose his once best friend to push him on a right way.
