After all, when two kids decide to want to play baseball, it seems to be the biggest joke of all time.

Especially when a boy wants to play but can't, and because a girl playing baseball is simply taboo.

After all, girls don't really play baseball. 

The boys at the sandlot didn't think Smalls could throw a ball for his life, nevertheless play baseball.

But when a girl decides to challenge them and give them a run for their money...

It changes things.

Especially for Benny Rodriguez and the reader.
