Emilia is what most would call shy, but it is more than that.
She has social anxiety and depression.

After being with her family for the past seventeen years of her life, Emilia decided to move hours away for college. She thinks she is ready for the independence and wants to separate herself from the cycle her hometown is stuck in.

Emilia finds a job nannying and starts school thinking it will be a breeze.
She quickly realizes that being independent means being alone at times. This sounds amazing, but she learns the hard way that it is not that easy.
--
