The FBI had never seen anything like it -- not to this degree. They were used to people dying left right and center, be it premeditated, accidental or natural. What they can't seem to fathom, is this new chain of events that leave them cold trails right from the start. From the murder of a teenager to the death of her supposed killer, things only get stranger. There was no connection between the murders other than the accused. Three years after the case goes cold, the cycle begins again a little too close to home. Using one of the brighter minds in the organization, twenty four year old agent Jace Vee is sent to put a dent in the case. But he isn't sent as the lone wolf he really is. Tagging along is his new partner, carefree Axel Crowe, a hotshot junior agent and together they must strike the iron while it's hot before this faceless killer leaves them with yet another cold trail.
