He pulled the locket out and placed it around her neck. It had a goat on its pendent and the note.

“This is the first. Z.”

As the first rays of sun burst through the horizon, he pushed the girl into the grave. She was gagged and tied up, her eyes dilated with fear.

“I’m sorry.”He murmured kindly, patting the girl’s cheek before he started shoveling mud back in the grave effectively burying the girl alive.

“One down. Eleven to go.” He whispered anxiously, walking away from the girl and her aura of terror.
