Keyote is living in a isolated part of the Lakota Thornbrush Reservation with her Aunt Sophia. Key is allowed to wander the prairie that surrounds her Aunt's home. As Key is hunting on the plains she meets Paul. Together the young adults discover a forgotten conspiracy by the government to take the Reservation from the Lakota tribe.

A conspiracy that surrounds a deeper, darker secret. Which a mad woman and the grandson of a spy would kill to keep secret.

I'm not marking this story as 'mature', but there is some mature language and subjects which some people might find offensive.

This story centers around Keyote who appears in my story 'Throwaway People'. You don't need to read the original story to enjoy this one, but I suggest it.

I questioned while furrowing my eyebrows, "I just saw a girl trying to protect herself." She scoffed, pushing her hair behind her ear and shaking her head, "you saw a monster didn't you?" "No," I shook my head sitting back, "I saw you. We turn into pretty similar creatures, why do you think we're in a cave?" I smiled and lit my eyes up yellow and watched her immediately follow mine. I looked at her stomach. "You aren't healing," I sat up. "I know," she said confused, "I don't know what's happening or why. He did something last night that was insane. He- I probably shouldn't talk about it."****

Abandoning his pack, he sets out to make contact with human beings and learn the truth. In the state of Vermont, a young girl embarks on her own journey of self-discovery. 18-year-old Chantal Boisvert never knew her parents, and she is determined to learn more about them -- especially her French Canadian father, who died in mysterious circumstances. When she arrives in the province of Quebec the wealthy Boisvert family gives Chantal a seemingly warm and loving welcome. But then strange and sinister things start to happen. Why do her relatives slip away into the forest after sundown? Why does she keep dreaming at night of being a wolf running in the wild? Who is the attractive pale-haired boy who keeps turning up, and why do he and his friends seem so concerned for her safety? Could it possibly be true that the Boisverts are loups garous -- werewolves? ************************************************************************* After more than a million views and lots of feedback for the initial draft, here is the re-edited version of "House of the Wolf".
