What would you do if your parents were killed by a blood thirsty Vampire? Would you stand around, waiting to be next, or would you fight? Thirteen-year-old Maeve chooses the ladder. Failing to kill the grotesque creature, she is kidnapped instead as the Vampire sees potential in her. Upon being turned herself, she is rescued by a family of Vampire Hunters. Will she be able to abide by the rules the hunters lay out for her, or will Maeve's blood lust take over, forcing her to hurt everyone in her new life?
