Sunday Still Remembers - Sunday's Dream, de SundaysDream
9 capítulos Em andamento
Sunday's memory of the night her life changed forever remains in her dreams. It happened suddenly-her mother grabbed her and her siblings in the darkness, ushering them onto a late-night bus bound for their aunt's home. The reason behind their abrupt departure lingered painfully in Sunday's mind: her father had discovered her mother and her soon-to-be boyfriend together on the living room couch. Now they live in a windswept coastal town outside the city, where the salt air stings and the cries of seagulls echo. The cost, so many changes. Sunday's older sister, once her best friend, barely glances her way anymore-her gaze cold and distant, as if their childhood bond has been snapped in two. Her older brother is silent and withdrawn, carrying secrets only he knows. Their mother is in endless battles with anyone who dares to cross her. The boyfriend storms in and out without warning, vanishing for days, and soon his presence will cast an even darker shadow over the siblings. And then there is the colicky half-brother, who cries all the time. Despite everything, their final move to a coastal town offered Sunday refuge. On the beach on clear nights, the distant city lights sparkled like fallen stars. Sometimes she'd walk for hours, looking for the perfect glass rock, or sit on the steps to the beach, her small fingers crossed tightly, making wishes toward her father's city, where he lives. Time slips by, so many things happen, and time blurs, but Sunday built a world where hope persisted through the shadows of resentment, neglect, and abuse. She even makes a best friend, something she always wanted. She remains hopeful that her dad will find her, believes in God and in the beauty of nature, and feels it heals her wounds.
