While the kings of neighbouring countries, Kralken and Vakaaria, stir hatred within their peoples against each other, sorcerers are hunted under the Decree of Death and dryads are kidnapped and bred for battle. People across the kingdoms are frightened, hungry and longing for war.

Valla, a resourceful and resilient girl, lives on an island hidden from the rest of the world. She knows nothing of the impending battle, sorcerers, giants or dryads, but she dreams of a life of her own, free from her harsh uncle and the boredom of village life. When tragedy strikes, Valla flees with two mysterious companions.

As Valla tries to figure out what she wants from her new life, she struggles with her feelings for the mysterious boy with so many secrets, and her feelings for the omniscient sorcerer that haunts her dreams. And all the while an evil stirs in a black tower...

As Valla finds herself betrayed and uncertain of who she can trust, she turns to the enigmatic sorcerer who speaks to her in the night, who whisks her away to the secret obsidian pillar and offers her safety.

With allegiances tested, and friendships broken, Valla fights to save those she loves at the risk of losing herself.

Lucia of Isgan is the beloved princess of the kingdom. Adored by her citizens, respected by her peers, and loved beyond measure by the king, she didn't want for anything. At least - that's what it looked like to most people. For Lucia, she'd never had to doubt her own devotion and love for her people. Until Nyx, the large black dragon, was unceremoniously dropped into her world. Now the two have to navigate allies trying to force Lucia's hand while traversing their own traitorous feelings. Will Lucia choose love, or sacrifice everything for her kingdom and her people? Nyx has been plagued by strange voices from the day of his birth, demanding death and destruction wherever he went. Untill he met Lucia, the kingdom's princess and the decendant of a race that had enslaved his kin for centuries. Now he found himself falling for the fierce blond human that seemed hell bent on sacrificing herself for her people. For Nyx, a selfish, self-centered dragon, her reasoning is irrational and utterly foolish. In between protecting his new obsession and convincing her that he was worth falling for, can the two navigate the political plays and ultimately end up together. Or will Nyx be destined to watch the things he loves burn to the ground?
Heart of Magic by ElisDndl
5 parts Ongoing
Prince Cahal of Aethermoor has always been different. His heart magic allows him to heal emotional wounds and read the feelings of others, but it also makes him vulnerable to every shadow of fear and despair. When ancient creatures begin breaking through the failing barriers that protect his world, Al finds himself facing a terrifying truth: to survive, his kingdom must ally with their oldest enemies. The alliance comes in the form of Prince Dames of Valdris - a warrior whose body magic can crush stone and bend steel, but who views Al's emotional abilities as weakness. Cold, arrogant, and devastatingly powerful, Dames has been sent as Al's bodyguard, a protection that feels more like an insult than aid. But when darkness invades Al's dreams and void creatures hunt him through nightmares made real, the two princes discover their magic works better together than apart. Body and heart, strength and compassion: they're stronger as partners than as enemies. The problem is that saving the world requires more than magical compatibility. It requires complete trust. As the barriers collapse and creatures of living shadow pour into their realm, Al and Dames must forge a bond deeper than alliance, stronger than magic and more powerful than the ancient hatred between their kingdoms. Because the only weapon capable of destroying creatures of pure malevolence is something the princes are just learning to wield: Love. But love demands sacrifice, and some prices may be too high to pay - even for salvation.
