The Moon colonists watch in fear as an asteroid, far larger than the one that wiped out the dinosaurs 66 million years ago, plummets towards the Earth.
The collision leaves the planet blackened and lifeless.
Can the colonists survive their sudden enforced independence? And is the Earth as dead as it appears?

Their task is to set up a base on a supposedly habitable planet and prepare it for colonization. Although the planet has liquid water and a breathable atmosphere, it is believed to host only microbial life. However, upon arriving, Shawn and the rest of the colonists learn that assumption was grossly incorrect. In a brutal attack from rampaging wildlife, everyone but Shawn and four other colonists are killed. The five survivors retreat to the cavernous network beneath the ground seeking safety, but they soon come to a terrible discovery. These caves aren't ordinary caves, and they are no safer down under than they were on the surface. During a massive drought, a Water Witcher goes trekking across several states to visit a friend but finds himself in danger when a group called The Hounds begins hunting him down. Earth has just overcome a cataclysm, Mars has undergone an uprising, the colonies across other stars are gone. Only Sol has shined forever. The focus shifts to the moons of Saturn, and those who reside there. Colonized eons ago from select groups of settlers from Earth and Mars, the six inhabited moons of Iedra, Feirro, Eympas, Alrotha, Torhindred, Titan, and Lyriptus- formerly entitled Enceladus, Mimas, Tethys, Dione, Rhea, Titan, and Iapetus- each stand alone, in a perpetual feud started long ago. Some care not at all for the others one way or another. Some are too weak to meddle in the affairs of their neighbors. Some are so strong they are feared. But that's the least of Hoseok's problems. While on the Moon, he discovers something. Something that humanity could never see even in their worst nightmares. Will Hoseok survive and make it home, or will be succumb to the same fate as the rest of his crew? Rated M for swearing and some gore/violence, but nothing extreme. No sexual content.
