Detroit, 2038. The world's society now runs with the use of androids. Mary, a mortician for the Detroit Police's forensics team-for both human and android corpses-who doesn't have an interest in using an android for any arduous reason. Her only reason to have an android is for company, assistance, and knowledge. She refers to them as equals, if not maybe even more superior than her human normalcy.
Her only personal assistant android she "owns" is an RK700, which she named Henry, one to assist in her mortician duties on top of being a helpful companion around the house.
She expected her android to become deviant upon how kindly she treated him, but she didn't know that the law enforcement was starting to eradicate deviants - especially by sending an android she would soon become enemies with - to lead the investigations.
When war between androids and humans begins to boil, Mary finds herself wondering who is really is on the right side, and if she can bring her enemy closer to what is the right thing, and prove the actions of her own race wrong. The question is: will she, and at what cost?
