Twisted Fairy Tales - The Little Mermaid

Dear Reader, The humans are foolish creatures. They never really comprehend that world that they had been gifted with, not even after thousands of years had passed. Technology was developed, skyscrapers were built, and yet what they knew of their ancestors were only told in stories. Stories which none were true, and yet all were true. Still, no one had ever connected the dots that were there. First sign of life was told to be creatures deep down the freezing depths of the water. Then who could the humans ever descend from? Us. The mermaids. And still, like a grandfather that wasn't enough to do anything anymore, we protected them from wars, from disasters. I did. For hundreds of years. What all protectors never knew was actually very simple. No protectors would think that the very people that they were told to watch would betray them. I didn't. Now I knew better. All thanks to him. The one I craved. The one that tempted me. The one that made me believe fairy tales were real. Made me believe "The Little Mermaid" was true. The one that no longer breathes the Earth. The Dead Ones. And still life goes on. Humans go on. They never knew an unrest heart deep inside the ocean. They never knew that a vengeance quest was brewing. They never knew. That this is the one quest that could destroy everything. Or save you all. Pray, humans. Pray hard to everything you ever believed in. Pray that we will stand. Or it would be the doom of you all.
