' Jade blinked, her cat eyes adjusting to the darkness quickly. She had no idea where she was.
Her heart burned with loathing. She had to find the stupid vampire that had knocked her out, and fast, before her Beast side took over.
She remembered the Elder's words. "I've only known one other with a Beast soul. He found out his mate was with his brother. He became furious and let his Beast side take over him. He died that day."
Lila lifted herself up, her head growing fuzzy as the Beast's soul slowly took over. Fur was beginning to grow on her arms and face. Through the fog that was condensing in her brain, she felt a small tickle as claws slid out of her fingers...
All of a sudden, there was a loud BANG and the darkness was suddenly flooded with light. '
