Steve took a long swig of coffee, looking out the window to across the street. A single, very familiar man stared right at Steve, not moving at all. Long brown hair, tall, strong, serious face and...a metal arm.

Slowly, Steve stood up, leaving his coffee and walked out the door. The man across the street still didn't move as Steve walked to a cross-walk and waited for a red light.

A function switch must have turned on just then because the man with the metal arm started to turn the corner away from Steve. The light turned from green to red and Steve ran towards the corner that the man had just been on. Steve turned the corner and just barely caught a glimpse of his stalker...

It's been four months after the encounter with the Winter Soldier. Four months since he found himself in a hospital bed with Sam next to him. And life in Brooklyn, NY for Steve Rogers has been normal and frankly very quiet.

But what if he meets someone he thought he would never see again? What if there is a chance to regain his best friend and even his memory? There's no way Steve would pass up that chance.

Finding Bucky isn't his only concern either. What if Director Fury came with extreme news? What if Hydra was planning something against S.H.E.I.L.D? Or, even new agents being sent on their first mission?

Maybe Bucky has a chance to start over...Completely

Well, all of that you can find out in Don't Forget Me ~Stucky/ Cap. America~ =D

Bucky Barnes starts to remember his life before he became the Winter Soldier. After the events of Washington, he had wanted to run away and hide. He knew people would come looking for him, especially Hydra and the Avengers. Hidden away in a remote town, on the outskirts of Maine, Bucky tries to live a simple life without drawing attention to himself. Little does he know, he had been followed. ***** Alexandria (Lexi) Adams, was one of the best shadow agents of SHIELD. She was one that Fury trusted with everything, including her judgement. Fury knew that having the Winter Soldier on their side, would be beneficial, not to mention, it would stop Rogers from turning down missions he was needed on. Lexi follows Barnes from a distance, helping to set him up with a home and job, without him knowing it was her. She had moved in to the apartment across from him, playing the friendly neighbour, which was a feat in itself. Lexi was never considered a friendly type of person. It was her mission, to help keep him safe, recover his past, and obtain any Hydra information. She makes sure to bump into him, while shopping for groceries, introducing herself, but she finds he's very closed off and guarded. Can she get through to him, or will he up and run again? When Hydra operatives come crashing through their complex, Lexi must make the choice, to stand and fight, or run. Will the two work together? Will Bucky come to trust his neighbour, or will he run? ****** ⚠️Trigger Warning ⚠️ Mature scenes, fighting, swearing, torture/experimentation, depression. *The story has been edited and revised* Bucky Barnes had finally ran away from HYDRA, but he was in hiding. He was too worried, and a bit scared, to go to his childhood friend, Steve Rogers, so he tried to hide from the blonde as well. Bucky had jumped from place to place for a while, running into HYDRA agents every few months. He was tired of running, and he hoped soon he'd be able to find a place to stay; a place to have somewhat of a home and to finally start remembering who he was and what happened in his life. After a year of being on the run, Bucky decided to hideout in a small town in Ireland. The town had a semi-small population, and the people seemed to mind their own business. He found himself a cheap apartment, number 101, and he was easily able to hide from the world while in the small living area. *************** In apartment 102, lived a woman by the name of Harlow Simpson. Harlow was a sweet girl who moved to Ireland years ago with her brother Wade. Wade had run away from home because he had accidentally had a daughter, Jodie, a few years back. Harlow had decided to move with her brother and his new born daughter, so she could help him take care of her. When Jodie was two, Wade decided to join an underground fight club, but only a year later, he was killed in a scuffle with a man twice his size over a bet. Harlow was given full custody of Jodie, and she and the small child moved to the apartment to get away from all of the sad memories of Wade. Three years later, Harlow and Jodie were surprised to see a man moving into the small apartment next to theirs. The apartment was very small, and from what Harlow seen, the man really didn't have much to move in. Each day, Harlow and Jodie would watch the man leave, only for him to come back with a small bag of fruit. Harlow was determined to help the man, and Jodie was determined to finally make a friend that didn't think she was weird...

(Short Story!!) It had always been a strange thing, growing up with stories about two men who seemed larger than life. Your grandmother never called them "Captain America" or "the Winter Soldier." To her, they were just Steve and Bucky-the boys who used to race down Brooklyn streets barefoot, who could eat their weight in ice cream, who once spent a summer building a treehouse that barely stayed up until autumn. She spoke about them with warmth, never shying away from the fact that life had pulled them into wars-one they chose, one they didn't. As you got older, you saw clips, grainy photos, shaky cell phone footage of Bucky Barnes in black tactical gear, a metal arm flashing in the light. You read the reports, the headlines about the destruction, the redemption, the battles the Avengers fought to save the world. You didn't expect to ever meet them. Not until 2025, when your grandmother passed away. Steve came to her funeral-looking exactly as he had in the old photographs, like time had politely stepped aside for him. And with him was another man, standing half a step behind, dressed in a dark suit. He didn't seem entirely comfortable being there, his jaw set, his eyes darting between the crowd and the coffin draped in flowers. Bucky Barnes. From the way Steve's hand rested briefly on his shoulder before introducing you, you knew he hadn't planned on coming. But he had. And when he looked at you, really looked, you felt the air shift. Because his gaze lingered just a fraction too long. Because his breath caught in his chest. Because in that moment, you knew what he saw- The spitting image of your grandmother. The girl he had once known before the wars. But you were not her. You were twenty-four. And when his eyes softened, the rest of the world seemed to fall away.
