"Why do you care? You hate me anyway." I slowly walked towards the fence, staring at the one walker who was clinging to it. The rest were gone, lifeless on the bloody ground.
"Don't. Please don't." His voice was shaky, but he didn't try to stop me. He just asked. He just asked...
"Try to stop me then." The voice was barely above a raspy whisper, and I was about a yard from the walker. I looked over my shoulder at Carl, who was standing a few feet away from me. "If you actually care if I die or not, then stop me," I smiled. I was going crazy in this place.
Two feet now. He still didn't budge. One foot.
I was just out of reach for the biter's grasping hands.
"Take me with you. Let me be free from this hell." I muttered, then was about to go towards it, but before I could move, it fell to the ground. Dead.
I spun around furiously, seething. "Why did you shoot him!" I screamed, "Why didn't you-"
"Because, I don't want you to die. I love you." And his lips were on mine.
