Most people are lucky to be born with a fully functional body. Others are not as lucky and are born with abnormalities like diseases or deformities. Tatum Dahl's little brother Shawn is one of those people. He was born with Down Syndrome. He is incapable to do things on his own and his family, while very rich is incapable of handling him. So they hire someone to take care of him when they can't. So far, they have been through what seems like countless people. Tatum says that she could handle him but the parents won't listen considering she is only 16 and needs to finish school first. Contrary to their reasoning, they hire someone of the same age.
