Deus was raised as a slave but escaped and is now a protector of the forest in which he resides in. However when a murderous Hellhound nearly kills him he quickly realizes that there is a darker force at play here. Sapientes was a content cleric who spent his day healing the wounded and worshipped his lord, but when shadow figures burned down his home and turned the forest around him sick killing off his medicene he had no choice but to seek out answers.
