Going back to school is always hard, but starting high school is just a different level of hard.
I'm 17 years old and, unfortunately, I'll be starting high school for the third time (don't judge me, I was in the hospital all throughout the first time and for the second time was just a huge mistake) and so what happened the other years doesn't happen again I made a High School - Back to School Survival Guide.
You'll find study, social life, anxiety/depression hacks and advice, diy's and everything in between.
(A little desclaimer: this guide works for all grades BUT a lot of things are more about me and my experience, and you if you don't have any kind of mental illness you won't need/understand a lot of things I say).

Journey with me back in time as I rewrite the first Journal I kept from when I was in high school, and see that maybe even with how horrible life is most of the times, there are little things spread throughout that make life worth living. My high school experience was full of drama, tears, laughter, and most of all constant search of love, and approval of the people around me. I can't always get what I want in this world. I want to kiss you in public, I want to fuck you in public, I want to claim you in public," he said as I rested my arm beside him and balanced on it while I unbuttoned my jeans. "Anything else?" Why do bad things happen to good people? A question that his boy is making himself more then ever this days. From the beginning we see a 17 year old boy, struggling to finish high School, filled up with insecurities, mental health issues, a toxic family home, and impossible standards to live up to. He has learn to not only hate his life, but to want finish it off as fast as possible. Close to finally graduating high school his English teacher, Mr Steve, assigns the class a special progect. "To be able to see life through different eyes, and write about it." For this, Mr Steve gets his class to assist a hospital 3 times a week, and assigns each student, with a patient. This is the moment where this boy meets Royal, a cancer sick 17 year old girl, that has lived in a hospital her hole life, but still finds beauty and meaning in it. Through out the report the boy gets more and more involved in Royal's life, spending unfortunately moments together. But through out the journey he asks himself more and more. Her brows furrowed. "You look like you have something specific you wanna ask me." The tips of Liam's ears turned red at Emma's very accurate observation. "I, uh... I usually just bullshit my way through projects, so I have no idea what the hell I'm doing." The corners of Emma's lips formed a small smile. Liam arched his brow. "What are you smiling at?" Her smile widened. "Nothing." Ever since Emma started going to Silver Creek High, she's been bullied over her discolored eyes. It all started when a boy brought attention to her in biology class one day, laughing at her and calling her a "freak" while the rest of the class laughed along with him.
