You trip, you fall, you scrape your knee, no big deal... right? What if told you that from that scrape your soulmate now has flowers blooming from their knee due to your scrape, it doesn't hurt when they bloom. However it s a connection from your soulmate to you, letting you know they are hurt. This is the kind of connection Shoto and Deku have.
Shoto wakes slightly to a tingling sensation on his arms, glancing down at his wrists and turning them slowly as he watched flowers bloom from his arms once again. they reach from his wrists to his elbows, once again he can assume that his soulmate tripped and scraped his arms pretty badly.
