Hank Anderson finds a young boy all alone as he is coming back from work. It was late, raining and no one was out. Hank stops to help the boy. He's in for an adventure.
Hank is a investigator for the Detroit police department. His wife divorced him and Hank only see's his son, Cole, on weekends. Worst of all he can't see Cole every weekend because of the cases he's on. His life feels like hell and Hank has thought on taking his life. That changes.
Connor is a seven year old boy, who's home life isn't the best. He has an abusive father and his mother is absent most of the time because of his father. One day something traumatic happens and Connor end up in the care of Hank Anderson.
