Aki Bealer is having the worst time of her life.

Her best friend became a hot-shot, and left her behind, her sister is in the hospital and needs extreme care almost ever hour, her mother and father divorced and all her friends are moving away.

What's her solution?

Digimon, the card game.

It takes her mind off of everything that's happening so far. All she wants is to be free from her burdens and be happy.

And that changes, with a blue card she finds in her Digimon Card Kit Box. She swipes the card and a white flash blinds her momentarily.

Later on, she gets her own Digimon and joins the Digimon Tamers group, along with another boy, Damien.
