The zombie apocalypse started in April. Hannah couldn't fathom how she was able to remember something so irrelevant, although when she has over a year of isolation from any other living human being it's startling as to how much detail and information one person can manage to reminisce. She was 15 years old when it began. Now, she was turning 17 and nothing had gotten better. If anything, everything had become harder. Human extinction was inevitable and the probability of surviving wasn't just slightly possible, it was impossible. Especially when she's alone. Disclaimer- Any similarities to other stories or films is purely accidental and not done intentionally. Obviously, I adopted the idea of zombies and do not claim to have created them.Concluida

TEASER: I sit comfortably in my makeshift shelter, planning my next voyage to the surface. Faint footsteps above ground snap me out of my thought. I silently reached to my loaded gun, an SKO Shorty, and carefully pulled back the hammer. I silently crept up the unstable metal stairs, aiming my gun at the door at the top. The heavy metal door creaked. Something was behind it. The door pushes open to reveal a man. A human. He slowly reaches into his pocket and pulls out a crinkled yellow paper. I grab the note, while lowering my gun. I look up only to find the man gone. I unfold the paper. It's hard to make out the words in red ink with the dim lighting of the sewer tunnel. Eventually, I'm able to decipher, "34.0522' N, 118.2437' W". Coordinates. At the bottom of the note, scribbled out in black in, there's one phrase. "Who's out there?" One of the men yelled. Of course only silence met them. I remained quiet and waited for the group to start moving again. "Maybe it was just an animal." Someone whispered. The person, who I assumed was the captain of the small squad, signaled for them to walk again. They clearly showed fear as they kept going; brandishing their weapons to guard themselves with. "Two are holding lanterns. I'll tell you when you're too close to them." I heard my friend whisper in my ear. I followed the men as I picked up another branch and waited for the right time to break it. They continued to walk through the forest, turning their heads in every direction as if an animal might lunge at them and rip their throats out. I guess in a way I was going to do that. "Go back a few feet." My friend whispered. I carefully distanced myself from the group and waited. "Where is she?" I quickly snapped the stick as soon as he finished asking the question. They stopped and two soldiers raised their lanterns to shine its light in the darkness. I quickly hid behind a tree before both of them turned where I was. A low frustrated growl came from one of the men, "The girl's playing with us. She's out here following our every move." How paranoia can cloud the mind. At nine years old, Silver decided to leave her village for the forest. Since then, she's been hunted; everyday is a fight for her life, every breath she takes could be her last, but she's determined to stay alive. Her life isn't the kind anyone would want to live but she's managed to survive this long so, what's a few more years?Concluida

7 years ago, an infection spread throughout Earth's population. Many were turned into what can only be described as a zombie. The cause of this infection? Vampires. Vampires have been trying to take over the Earth for centuries. They faced many problems, the main one being their lack of numbers. Turning humans is a dangerous process for both the humans and vampires. The vampires hired scientists to create a synthetic venom to turn humans into vampires. Their first prototype was tested prematurely. It gave the human test subjects extreme speed and strength for 1 hour. They escaped and infected hundreds. The infection spread and mutated till the Earth was overrun by different kinds of hungry human - eating zombies. Vampires aren't the only supernatural creatures. Most of the others have gone into hiding, trying to wait it out. Werewolves, however, are the mortal enemies of vampires. They have formed a guard that protects humans day and night. "As of now people are dying evidently people become depressed and aggressive to one and other. They all used to live in harmony and happiness, that was until the 'things started to raise. The 'things' are as you would call it zombies but of greater skill. They disguise themselves as humans yet they will not hesitate to kill you and eat you. If someone is a 'thing', automatically presume them dead, or at least soon to be dead. It will always take about 2 weeks to become fully changed, hopefully you can chop of that body part in time for the infection to stop. If you can't, put an end to your soon to be painful and horrible turn/death. These beings as I announced only a moment ago, look exactly like a human, two way to tell if they are one or not, their attitude and their eyes. They don't have emotions, only hunger and let me tell you, they will go out of their way to eat you, they will speak but it will sound different... Deformed almost. The eyes are usually the first to become infected, they become slightly red at first, as time progresses so does the intensity of the color red in the eye. The color in their eyes they once possessed, will seem dull, it will seem as if they are unfocused or unfamiliar with their surroundings. That is all I can tell you for the moment Lexi, but know their are people waiting for your arrival, and we are waiting for you to end this suffering race."
