Winx Club é uma série de animação italiana de aventura-fantasia criada, produzida e dirigida por Iginio Straffi e sua companhia Rainbow S.r.l, em co-produção com a Rai Fiction. Foi lançada originalmente no dia 28 de janeiro de 2004, pelo canal Rai Due, se destacando por ser o primeiro desenho animado italiano a ser vendido nos Estados Unidos. Em pouco tempo o desenho foi transmitido mundialmente em mais de 130 países ganhando um sucesso considerável rendendo vários produtos passando a se tornar uma mania entre o público infanto-juvenil. Feito para meninas com idade entre os 5 e os 13 anos, o sucesso se expandiu, ganhando fãs de vários gêneros e idades ao longo dos anos de exibição.
No Brasil foi transmitido por TV paga pelos canais Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Nickelodeon e na TV aberta pelos canais SBT e TV Cultura.
Em Portugal,o show foi transmitido pelo canal aberto RTP2 e mais tarde pela TVI e pelos canais pagos Canal Panda e Nickelodeon, neste momento só é transmitido pelo Canal Panda, pela TVI e está disponível, somente até á 5ª Temporada, na Netflix.
Em Angola e Moçambique o show é transmitido no Canal Panda e no DStv Kids.
