Tangled Love
"You only live once." This is the overly used excuse that we use every time we make a decision and that's fine because it's true. This also goes with 'Love'. For once in our lives, we would eventually experience this love - the kind of love that just can't die. A love, though not being returned, we are still willing to take the risk. Love. Love is such a strong word. Love is something you feel for someone you truly care about. Right? So is love ever possible to feel for someone that you hated so much for so long? Mikayla is a junior at Bristol High School in Bristol, Tennesee. She's sixteen, 5'4, plays softball and volleyball, and has a great and positive personality. However, her family has a lot of issues. Her dad is a depressed alcoholic who likes to take his anger out on Mikayla and her twin brother, Joey. Mikayla thinks sex and relationships are stupid. It's high school. She wants to lay back and be mature. However, will that ever change? I mean, high school is always rough and deceiving, right? Mikayla is an excellent student and makes amazing grades. However, she has competition. Daniel is Mikayla's competition. He plays quarterback on their school's football team. Typical, right? Well, Mikayla and Daniel have competed against each other for years. Daniel likes to push Mikayla down and make her feel like he's superior and better. Daniel is six-foot-something and handsome. He could pull any girl he wanted, however, he remains single. Is it his terrible personality? Or does he like being single? This story is about teenage love and the problems that you can encounter in high school. Mikayla and Daniel, head to-head, all the time. However, who will win overall? Who will be the bigger person and try to drop all of their immaturity and stupidity? I'm Finn Vasco but that's not quite important right now. I'm a pretty sarcastic guy if I'm gonna be honest. I'm closed off and I literally only have one friend. I might hate everybody in my school... but there's this guy there. He's... let's say, dreamy, someone who I thought would never even acknowledge my existence.
