Two years after July 12th, 2042, the Second Android War, life went back to normal. Violet stayed with Kolt and Anastasia. Lexi and Ashley, Marjorie and Bambi all found peace with their loved ones dying and continued their work. Fewer androids are staying at Jericho, feeling safer than ever, which meant North and Markus could spend more time at home with Willow and Carl. Ottavia started a new practice for her psychiatry. Connor continued to work at the police station and Kara, Alice and Luther moved to Canada. Everything seems... right.

Except, someone is not at peace. Crystal and Rupert have been thinking about getting a child, but while Crystal is ecstatic about it, Rupert is hesitant. That is, when Crystal rescues a YK900 from a group of bigoted kids. Her name is Starling. And she would impact Crystal and Rupert's lives more than ever.

But there's more to the story. Starling, when Crystal finds her, she's been through some things. With dirt patches, bloody knuckles and cigarette scars, it was clear she was abused by her owners or owner.

But before Crystal can have the police arrest them, she has to break down Starling's walls. Will Crystal be able to succeed with the help of friends and a shared interest? Or will Starling never get the help she needs and deserves?
