THE FIRST BOOK OF THE LARK SERIES

No one knows the secrets of Phoenix. Except for Dom, who is telling Ketya way more than he should about the things he knows.

Ketya Four Twenty Four grew up in Zone Four. The Zones don't know anything about Phoenix, except that it's better than anything in the Zones. It's where everyone wants to be, where everyone wants to belong.

Except that Ketya doesn't belong. Dom has warned Ketya about the dangers of not conforming to Phoenix's ideals. But it might be too late for Ketya who is already being watched. A mysterious man with dark eyes is following her, stalking after her and giving her cryptic warnings about the darkness of Phoenix's intentions.

In a city where nothing is as it was promised, Ketya doesn't know who to trust. Things become even more dire when Ketya discovers she unknowingly has something Phoenix desperately wants.

[COMPLETED : 5|09|2016 and slowly editing ] He snapped his fingers and a red flame flourished into existence. "How did you-" "I'm a professional." He smirked, clearly enjoying this. If I got a penny for everytime I rolled my eyes at him, I would probably be a billionaire. In a limousine. With a hot wife. And a hotter girl to cheat on her with. And that too I'm straight. He flexed his palms and the flame disappeared. "With practice, even you can control your Blue Matter." I didn't say anything, just nodded. "This Blue Matter is stronger than Red Matter. It can destroy beings. Be careful with it." "Uh, so I am a DreamMaire?" "No, Sophie, you're the Dream Maker." _______________________ Sophie Hazelwood, sixteen, just makes it in the world with her confident aura and weird humour. All she wants is to be a singer and move over her past, however hard that might be. But she's not completely aware of what she's capable of. Meet Keith, new boy with a hot bod who changes her life in ways that could have never been foreseen. Join her in this journey as she fights off mythical beings, braving through broken trusts and shattered hearts. Very descriptive text and suspenseful. So many elements of truth that it is terrifying to think of the possibility. The characters are very endearing. I liked them from the get go and they really got me invested in the story. _________ May Day is Book 2 in The Erelong Trilogy, but it can be enjoyed as a standalone.
