"Katie, what happened?" I see a look of sadness in his eyes and I knew that I had no choice but to tell him. "I have lung cancer," I said with a lump in my throat. "W-what? What do you mean you have cancer? Why was I never told?!" He said with a tear rolling down his cheek. "I'm sorry. I didn't want you to worry. I've had cancer since I was 9 years old and I never told anyone but Abby because I was scared they would freak out and not want to talk to me anymore," At this point I'm crying as well.
