After Iris finally walked down the steps of the Lenshore Institution and landed on the freshly rained concrete, the life she chose was up to her. Merging back into society after The Incident was going to be a lot harder than she thought. Especially since everyone she knew thought she just went on vacation to Canada. When an old friend and Iris reconnect with the condition of hanging with her 'gang', will she be able to learn to love herself and trust the people around her? Or will The Incident be too big of a shadow to run away from?

TRIGGER WARNING: this does deal mental illness, especially eating disorders, and fat/body shaming. Also, self harm does become present. There will be another warning at the top of each chapter but here's a formal warning. Stay safe honeys <3

This story is based off the book and series My Mad Fat Diary. Go check it out anywhere and watch it I BEG. I loved it so much but the ending sucked, and in pure anger, I'm creating the storyline more fulfilling. Thank you so much for reading and ILY.
