After being mesmerized and equally baffled by the climax of Baahubali: The Beginning, I eagerly looked forward to  Baahubali:The Conclusion to tie up the loose ends of the story shown in the first part. While 'Why Kattappa killed Baahubali' was answered pretty well, I didn't get to see sufficient screen time for 'How Mahendra Baahubali takes over Mahishmathi.'

Apart from just killing the villain, I wanted the story to address a deeper issue. I wanted the story to deliver Mahabharata's message that standing up for one's own sense of righteousness should be beyond the mental shackles of morals (as in the case of Kattappa who is similar to Bheeshma in Mahabharat), fears (as in the case of Mahishmathi's civilians), etc. Besides this I wanted the story to justify the fact the Bhallaladeva is a trained and highly skilled warrior and Mahendra/Shivudu was no match for him in going for a direct face off. I wanted to see a justifying establishment of each of the main characters, particularly Devasena, whom I wanted to see to rise to the status of a warrior queen.

This is my attempt at addressing  'How Mahendra Baahubali takes over Mahishmathi' with the above-mentioned interests of mine. Hope you enjoy it and do let me know your feedback.All Rights Reserved

This story mainly concentrares on the first borns of some of the renown Warriors of Mahabharatha namely Karn, Arjun and many more. In this story Shaurya accepts Dhruv as his father and after knowing Mahveer's truth Shaurya tells Dhruv that you will have to kill my uncle but Dhruv acts as if he killed Mahaveer but in reality Mahaveer is alive, Tara does not know that Dhruv has killed her brother in fake manner, she thinks that Dhruv has really killed Mahveer, she cries a lot the whole day, does not talk to anyone, does not eat food, seeing all this Shaurya understands that he has committed a big mistake. Gayi, he shouldn't have got so angry and shouldn't have asked Dhruv to kill his uncle. When Shaurya realizes his mistake, Dhruv tells Shaurya and everyone in the palace that Mahaveer is alive and he had done all this drama to make Shaurya understand his mistake. After hearing all this, Meenakshi and Shaurya get very happy. Later Mahaveer regains his senses and Dhruv tells Meenakshi and Shaurya that he is from the 21st century. This is the first story of my Mahabharata series that I tried to pen down at my own childhood. I am truly fascinated by her life long struggle for independence and avenging her insult by her own husband. This is my own original story that I never published anywhere else. The motivation for this story were Mahabharat and other manuscripts on Chitrangada. I take most scenes from the popular television serial "Mahabharata Katha"of Mr. B. R. Chopra.
