Failed Perimeter Escape
I am a citizen of Dema. I am an escapee. I have failed time and time again. I have never seen the world outside this city, but one day I hope to. One day I will. My friend Clancy is like me. He is a citizen of Dema. He is an escapee. He is an exception. He has seen the world outside these imposing walls. He tells me about these people he's seen. He hasn't been able to speak with them yet, but he gets closer with each escape. I'm going to ask him to take me the next time he goes. I want to see these people for myself. I want to know if we can survive outside of Dema. Because I want to live.
Øverturning the lies (a twenty one pilots fanfiction)
Tyler is alone in the city of Dema. He can't remember who he was before then. All he knows now is trying to survive in this world. He sees others around him who are struggling too, and he wants to help them. But he can't. He can't even seem to help himself. He keeps thinking he sees his best fren, Josh, but he's still not sure if its really him or if the city has finally driven him insane. His life now is nothing but fear. And there doesn't seem to be a way to fix that. Maybe there is...but maybe there isn't. The thing is, he's too afraid to find out. Fear is how they control you. The bishops. They see everything you do. And they want to destroy you. So don't bother fighting. They'll come for you. They'll come for you when you least expect it. Possible trigger warning: self-harm/suicide. This story is about overcoming that and overcoming depression. But it might be triggering to some readers. I'll add trigger warnings to those parts. Anathema
Anathema: someone or something that one vehemently dislikes, an abhorrence, abomination, accursed. Someone or something consigned to damnation or destruction. Platonic Joshler Life can get pretty difficult when your only two friends are imaginary, and it's even harder when they're not exactly the most positive people on the planet. Tyler is used to that, though, and he's used to pretending they're not there when other people are around. It wasn't so bad, at first, but now that one of them is bent on getting rid of the other, he's having his doubts.
