INNOCENCE LOST (Rewriting)
"Forever, I had stayed silent, closed off, cut by the doldrums of family politics and societal pressures. Buried under biased judgements, I dwarfed to insignificant heights. But, inside the blaze fought to seize power-an inferno. Raging flames fuelled to perfection-burning hot with wrath, scorched by hindered expectations and smothered under unrealized dreams. Beauty and the beast reside together, working in unison. When one sleeps another awakes. Every beauty has a beast, brought alive by a trigger. I was a beauty, but then shit happened. Still, I smile. I laugh. I cook. I sew. I make love. I'm a good girl.
