There are animals but there are also magical creatures, some good, some bad and some that are just there. You always stood out from the rest. You had the eyes that held the power to see these creatures. Bright yellowish gold eyes and people were scared of you. They were scared because you were above all of them. Your parents owned this old fashioned city. It was a village the size of a city and it had some modern technology mixed with no technology. You had no friends for for so long and people always bullied you probably because they were scared of you. They didn't know of the magical side of the land. They didn't know that some people can see it. They would only see the creatures if they made themselves seeable. Everything was normal one day, people treating you like trash and you running crying to your mom. But your parents had gotten you something that they know nothing about or take care of but they put the responsibility in your 10 year old hands.

Something inside me told me to stay. Now, I'm going to die. I just know it. I can't leave now, or run away, because the town would be unprotected for a whole year, and that's where my family lives. When I was little, I believed in magic, the kind with an enchanted fairy godmother and the power of making wishes. These beliefs began to wither with every unanswered wish. They disappeared completely when I made my final wish, a moon wish. The black cloud that has followed me since that day has only gotten thicker and darker over the years; it's so dense that it is starting to obscure everything. I can't see the sky at all. It's been so long since I've seen any light, I've forgotten what it felt like to walk in it. Lost in the dark, an accident brings me a glimmer of it. To appreciate the light, you have to endure the dark.
