An unpredictable love story has winding roads full of heartache and sorrow. The sun shines through sometimes, but John can only see the bottom of a whiskey bottle and the white of a canvas waiting to be painted.
He is haunted by the fallen glory of those perfect wings, having been burned up by that God forsaken sun.
Even his best friend cannot ease him of his helplessness, the longing that coils in his stomach waiting to unfurel.
Instead...he is left battered by a pair of red lips and black eyes...a betrayal unlike any other he has ever felt before.
It takes eleven beers for him to be knocked out cold, having taken refuge against an abandoned bridge just off campus to hide from reality.
A stranger John had tried to punch one time takes him home...
