“Who the hell are you?” she asked in a low voice.
She stared at him, his emerald eyes captivating her. Brown hair dangled over them, like a curtain trying to hide something his eyes were showing. Sapphyre tried to divert her attention towards the bloodied athame he held near her throat, and then towards the lifeless body of the daemon she attempted to chase down before.
“Cooper,” she heard a smooth, deep voice say.
She looked up at the emerald-eyed man, noticing he had lowered the blade.
“My name’s Cooper.”


Sixteen-year-old Sapphyre Bloodworth has been a daemon slayer for two years. Orphaned with her brother, Jett, Sapphyre's parents were in a war against daemon's and it cost them their lives. Now taking over their parents' duties as hunters, Jett and Sapphyre are given the mission to retrieve a strange orb that enables demons to crossover to the Surface. And the orb isn't the only threat the Surface has to face....
