Carter King was so many things but I never thought this person he'd become would be one of them. He was the epitome of perfect; or at least used to be. It was almost hard to point out what went wrong but I guess losing your best friend was one of them.
What about me, then? I lost my brother but I wasn't willing to die or indirectly give the world a big middle finger. Instead, It pushed me in the other way. I wanted to help other people going through a hard time.
But what I never knew was that I had a family I could count on.

I can't bring myself to recognize the girl I'm staring at. Through her glassy eyes you can see that she's no foreigner to pain, whether physically, emotionally or mentally.
