"Oh Perseus, look at you all alone" Gaea taunted

"You will never succeed sea spawn, all your precious friends out there, they will die just like the others you have killed before." She spat

She was right, bile rose in my throat, it was all my fault.

"Face it Perseus, your a murderer" she sneered while absentmindedly picking at her nails, as if she didn't have a care in the world.

I did murder them, it was my fault, I left them to that fate.

I shook my head, they sacrificed themselves for a better world. And I'll be damned if I let that go to waste.

--------------------------

Time stopped on the battle field, as Gaea was swallowed by the earth.

For a moment it was silent but was disrupted as a limp body fell to the ground, its thump reaching all ears.

With dull eyes of the sea and a metal staff coated in poison protruding from the chest laid Perseus Jackson with his dying breath.

Tears, cries and mourning followed at the funeral, but the ocean had other plans.

Lost in the darkness (Pernico/Percico)

13 parts Complete

Nico di Angelo, son of Hades, has looked death straight in the eyes with complete confidence, not wavering a bit. But when it comes to a certain son of the sea god, Nico can't seem to hold himself together. The 7 and Nico have just defeated Gaea and are on there way back to camp half-blood. Nico tries to tell himself his feelings for Percy are gone but soon realizes he's only fallen deeper in love when he sees something he shouldn't have. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "Will you Nico di Angelo, make me the happiest man on earth and go out with me?" The small boy grabbed at my sweater, his hands angled in it. I let myself be pulled down, his back hitting the sand the same moment my palms did. His mouth was splayed out in a grain, I smiled back as he laid flat underneath me. "Took you long enough to ask me" Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters, they belong to Rick Riordan.
