Imari is the daughter of the Jabari tribe deceased younger prince. Attempting to bring his bride and daughter back to Wakanda, the prince and his bride are killed. According to legend, every three generations, the Jabari tribe will freely give up a maiden that will become Bast's Envoy to make the Black Panther stronger in a great time of need. This generation, the daughter of the Jabari younger prince (M'Baku's Uncle for those Confused) given the name Imari by T'Chaka and Queen Mother Ramonda, is chosen to be beside T'Challa. She is raised as an adopted sister because of a vision that Bast gives T'Chaka confirming who Imari is. But for T'Challa and Imari, they didn't see each other as siblings, they began to love each other. But T'Challa chose Nakia before becoming the Black Panther. When he takes on the Mantle, he and Nakia are broken up and T'Challa senses his connection to Imari before realizing it was love. Together, they work together to save Wakanda and then the universe!
