Ember Skygem is a Hobbit. She wasn't the prettiest Hobbit (to herself that is. She had no idea what others thought), but she was quite talented. Ember took lessons from Elvish blacksmiths. She learned how to make weapons and jewlery. Her favorite things to make were rings; consequently, her collection was large.
But a horrific memory keeps following her, so Ember goes to her adoptive Aunt's house every few months, who lives in Bree. Her Aunt helps her distract her from the memory when her adoptive parents are too busy to help her themselves.
But when 4 hobbits walk into the bar of the inn, Ember is faced with a choice: find out what is so secretive about these hobbits and have the memory present in her mind, or stay with her Aunt to temporarily forget the stalking horror?

The only character I know in Ember unless I say so otherwise. The rest I give full credit to J. R. R. Tolkien, the best author in the world.
I will do my best to incorporate details from the book, but I will mostly be going off the movie because that is just easier.
And for those of you who really care, this is a Frodo fanfic. But it's not what you think it is.

Every time I see that she's updated, I squeal and smile and read it immediately because I cannot wait to see what she has to give her readers next. In a bed chamber high in the trees of Lothlorien is a young she-elf is sound asleep. "She will wake soon if Mithrandir is to proceed with his quest to Erebor. The darkness will grow, and she will awaken to fight it, like she did long ago." Galadriel says, turning to her husband and taking his hand. The she-elf is not as young as she seems, she had nearly faded when Galadriel found her at the beginning of the second age. The elf never woke, but the Lady of Light has foreseen it; Naehlara will awaken to help lead the elves, men and all free folk to peace, for she is the High Queen of the elves. The only living elf from the first age. Her fae grows stronger with every year bringing her closer to awakening. Galadriel once was friends with the elf, her father Thingol; king of Doriath before it was abandoned and forgotten as the first age elves left Middle Earth to go back to Valanor or faded with time. "I have longed to see my friend reawaken but how do you explain to one that nearly two ages has passed since she fell into slumber." Galadriel says, a small smile growing on her face. "She was a mighty warrior, the best in all of Middle Earth. But she was stubborn, not as wise as most elves. A lot more like our Woodland kin, the ones in Greenwood."
