For as long as he could remember, everyone had assumed that Alex Lozano was gay when he actually wasn't. And he would've been fine with it too- if it wasn't for the constant bullying he received involving the use of every gay slur in the book. Finally, at the beginning of his senior year, he decides to get back at all of his bullies and do something about it.
He devises a "perfect" plan to fake being gay throughout senior year and at the end of the year, use his journalistic prowess to publish an article revealing how being perceived as gay and out changed his everyday life, calling everyone out who bullied him for his supposed sexual orientation in said article, and possibly increasing his chances of getting into his dream school in the process. What could possibly go wrong?
