Ever since the fire that killed her family and friends, Andrea Hale has resented her werewolf heritage. While she was lucky to survive the incident, her brother, Derek, became fully aware that his choices had put a target on his family's back. Therefore, he made the decision to keep his sister out of sight, in order to protect her from danger. After years in the dark, and being presumed dead, Andrea meets a newly turned werewolf, Scott McCall. With him, she moves forwards towards human connection as he shows her the world that she has been taught to fear.
