Screams, why can I hear screams? I frantically sat up, looking around the room. Nothing. I rubbed my eyes, trying to wake myself up. After another glance around I slowly climbed out of bed, walking towards my closed door. Closed? I never have my door closed at night, but tonight it was. I gently turned the handle, trying to make no noise. The door wasn't so forgiving, it creaked with every little movement. Then, the screaming stopped, leaving behind muffled whimpers. What was going on? Do I dare leave my room?

Slowly she began reaching her hand towards the animal, feeling compelled to touch it. Would it be as soft as it looked? Did it want her to touch it? The rain continued pelting them, but it felt like its eyes were drawing her into another space, where nothing else mattered. The sudden desire to be closer to this animal was beginning to overtake her mind, especially as her hand neared its head. The whole time the animal only watched her with those large eyes. She imagined it almost asking for her touch. It didn't cross her mind how she knew he'd be soft, or how she even knew the creature was a 'he' to begin with. As her finger just barely grazed the animal, multiples things happened. She felt something shock her causing her to pull her hand back, just as thunder and lightning sounded. When the light cleared the animals' eyes, were narrowed into slits, and it was growling. It was a deep menacing sound that sent her stumbling backward, heart wildly beating. It bared fangs the size of her hand alone dipping its head. Had her touch angered the animal into finally attacking her? She kept moving backward in the rain, slipping in her converses as the creature continued growling. It was then she knew she was prepared to run, no matter what happened. Where am I? I wake up with no memory of the night before or how I got to this place. I don't even know what place this is. I hear the howl of a wolf and stagger to the window. What the hell? I'd always heard the voices. From being a young child when the doctors had long since given up trying to find a cause, the voices woke me, screaming, in the night. But then, they began to guide me. When I started to find the dead bodies - animals, children - I was called a psychic. I was used to help, but I could only find what the voices wanted to show me. But then, one day, the killer chose another victim. It chose me, and only the voices could save me. Except, they weren't just voices. They were.... - Whilst on a long (7.5) hour flight to Wattpad HQ in Toronto, I was watching the film Solace. Part way through, an idea threw itself into my mind and I had to stop the film and start writing immediately. I also had another idea later on, again which I had to write down. This is the first of those ideas and is written for the #OnceUponNow promotion. The wolves stopped, baring their teeth and snarling. A low hiss came from the man. The wolves backed away. The man extended his hand and you placed her hand in his. His touch was as cold as ice. "Thank you," you said as he gently pulled you up. You looked into his eyes, blood red. His blonde hair shone beautifully and you could see he was muscular. You stare into each other's eyes for a moment when he turned into the nearby alleyway and was gone. Will you see him again?Complete

I shuddered. It had never been so dark, nor so quiet before. There was always the light of the moon to guide me. The sound of the wind against the trees. I shook the thought from my mind and continued further into the wood. Then I saw it. A white light spread across the ground in front of me. I wanted this moment to last forever. Until I saw the wolf. It was hidden among the fold of trees behind me. It stared at me in aggravation. It's brows furrowed in my direction. It's face, livid with anger, revealed a set of unpleasant and sharp teeth. It began to move slightly forward. The wolf bounded towards me. It happened so quickly I had no time to react. It's limbs outstretched. It's teeth bared. My body, paralyzed from fear, refused to move. My lip quivered, urged to call for help, but no help would come. I was too deep into the woods. No one would hear my screams. The thought was soon interrupted by the wolf's teeth digging into my side.Complete

I started phasing out to my wolf form, and when I stood in all my glory, I prowled and preened to show off my beautiful fur. He laughed even harder. I simply wanted to kill him. Yes, my wolf was small, but it existed. Why the hell wasn't he on his knees then? "As I said, you're not a werewolf," he repeated. Huh, what did he mean by that?Complete
